About

Cindy Cedillo-Ruiz, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine physician born and raised in Houston, TX.  Dr. Cedillo earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston.  She pursued her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center.  Dr. Cedillo then continued her training at BCM by joining the Family & Community Medicine residency program where she became Chief Resident, focusing on the care of the underserved.

Dr. Cedillo has continued to work with underserved populations: first at one of the Harris Health System clinics, and currently in rural medicine serving as medical director of the emergency department at Jackson County Hospital District.  She can also be found sharing public health information on her Facebook page “Dr. Cindy”.

When not wearing a lab coat, Dr. Cedillo enjoys spending time visiting national parks with her husband and daughter.
